What are You Doing Friday Night????

If you want to have some scrappy fun, head on over to ScrapbooknBits. The monthly cybercrop is happening, and I am hosting it!!!

There will be 3 challenges, Bingo, and a "Who Am I?" game that will be going all weekend.

Hope to see you there!!!
Also, just a quick share, the lovely Jane at SnB has been doing a "2009 Journal" . Sadly, I realised in oh, about February (LOL) that there was no way I was going to keep going with this.....

Instead, I've decided to do a Double LO - and this is the 1st part, Jan - June.......

Ok, that's about it for now, my next little projects are going to be for the White With 1 Challenge, and the 123 Challenge Blog....
I'll share when I'm done!! ;0)

Scrappy Shares and a Family Photo Shoot

I did this layout a while back for the July challenge at the White With 1 challenge blog. The challenge was to use white, purple and circles.... I hit a real speedbump mojo wise with this layout.... I started with something completely different in mind, then that didn't work out, so then I tried something else, now I think it's just a mish mash, and I am still not sure I like it.... Hence the title......LOL!!

We finally got some family portraits done that I actually like!!!
Done by North Qld photography, we did the $10.00 fundraising deal at my school's Prep.
Of course, I couldn't resist buying the package! LOL!

That's it for now - hope to be back tomorrow with some more scrappy shares!!!

Tummy Bugs!! :0(

I don't know if I've mentioned this before - but of all the illnesses around, I HATE Tummy Bugs - I hate nursing them, I hate cleaning up after them, and I hate having them!!!

Our whole family has been sick over the last 2 days. Connor started it off, and being the good little share bear that he is, promptly passed it on to the rest of us!!!!

Oh dear, at least I was the last to get it, so today I have been concentrating on looking after me, and Mark has actually been really supporting and nice..... Hmmmmm - what does he want, or what has he done??? LOL!!!!! I even got a bunch of flowers from the boy's excursion to Mt Pleasant to run a couple of errands..... It was Connor's idea apparently!!! Awwww....... that boy is going to make a good boyfriend/husband one day - LOL!!!!!
Before we all got sick, we had a lovely weekend - busy chilling out, instead of busy chasing our tails.... We even managed a family outing to Cape Hillsborough. Connor had heaps of fun exploring the beach, and then had a BIG play on the playground - with some new - found friends!! LOL
Here are some pics, it was really odd up there - the fog was rolling in from the sea, and it was 11am!!! It looked really eerie, actually!

Lastly, I did this Layout based on Page 8 from the brilliant A Page From My Sketchbook Blog by Liz Weber. Every month, there is a fantastic new sketch put up. It used to be a challenge blog, but sadly, Liz had to stop the challenge, because she wasn't getting enough sponsors. Thumbs up to Liz, though, for continuing the Sketches!!

A Couple of Shares......

I know, I've been a slack blogger. Since my computer met an untimely death due to its encounter with a cup of coffee, (D'oh!!) it's been really difficult to do much on a computer, since now I am forced to use DH's 'puter, and sometimes he doesn't play nice and share! LOL!

Anyway a couple of shares.

This one I did for the 123 Challenge Blog:

I have used Coordinations Cardstock, which I stamped with a Prima stamp, and splattered with red. The Paper is Rose Moka....There's also a bit of Basic Grey goodness there, too!

This one was for the Creative Team at Scrap The Boys Challenge Blog. The theme this month is Masterchef - with the criteria of a photo of your boys and something to do with food, and using a cooking term in the title.

I used the totally gorgeous Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Range. I just love the cute little embies that can be made out of the paper.....

Well, This Is It...... The 50 Layout Challenge

OK, deep breath Monique......

I have decided, since I have such a massively expanding pile of scrapping goodness, not to purchase any new products until I have done 50 layouts - EEEEEEEEP!!!!

Considering I average about 3 layouts a week, that means I will have to go about 16 weeks before I buy anything. I will allow myself to stock up on adhesive etc after 20 layouts.

I HAVE to do this, I have entire ranges I have purchased, and are now about 12 months old, which I haven't even touched. Not to mention HUGE bundles of favourites, again with so many papers and embies that I think I could to the 50 layouts just with them!!! LOL

Hmmmmmm, I know it is going to be tricky, Summer CHA is just around the corner, and I know Prima - one of my faves - is starting to release its summer range, but I MUST be strong! I HAVE to be strong.......
Wish Me Luck!!! LOL!!!

On the scrappy front, I did this layout for the recent SnB Animal Magnatism Cybercrop. I didn't finish it on time though to add to the samples put forward by the rest of the talented DT members - D'oh!

The challenge was to create an animal embie to add to your layout. I made a felt lion, which I blanket stitched around the outside, the face is from the Sassafrass Lass Bungle Paper range. I love that range, it is just so bright and funky!

This is what the embie looks like up close:

This layout is the first of the 50, it is a Sketch from the talented Liz Weber on her Challenge Blog "A Page From My Sketchbook". It is a fantastic site, and her sketches are always such an inspiration. Word has it that Liz is having trouble finding enough sponsors to keep the challenge going, which is a shame....... :0(

I had a bit of fun with this layout, and grunged it up a bit.... I used Tim Holtz Crackle Paint on the cogs, and inked them, too. I even added some eyelets and some string. I even used the Tim Holtz texture hammer to hammer the brads for extra texture.... I am actually happy with this, I like doing grunge sometimes! LOL!

Just a little share of a photo now, I took this one of Connor the other day,
