This month on Scrap the Boys was a challenge very close to my heart - using flowers on a boy's layout.
Now, I know some of you really don't like doing this at all, but I find I have been kinda forced to. You see, I am a girly girl - I love vintage, I love retro, I love pretties, and I especially LOVE flowers. Problem is, I am a mum to one VERY rough and tumble boy. Not many opportunities to use my pretties on his layouts, I can assure you. So, when I do come across a photo that can stand a bit of "girly treatment" I tend to go all out, much to Connor's disgust....hehe.
So, here is the official Scrap The Boys Challenge:
CHALLENGE- Use Flowers on a Boy Layout
Can you see now why this Challenge was just right up my ally? As you can see, I added flowers, and also gave it a really mixed media work out by adding Texture Paste, Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays, Gelatos, Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Sprays and Colour Box Mix'd Media Inx.
The range is Fab Scrap's Enchanted Garden Range - and I used the two Blue Heron papers in the line.
I really love how it all turned out, in real life the colours blend together so well, and there is so much texture and so many layers.
Here are a couple of close ups:
So, there you have it - another challenge done, I must say I am loving this no-commitment scrapping, it is like having a new lease of life!
Why don't you pop by Scrap The Boys and join in the fun too - if you are a boy scrapper like me you will probably LOVE the opportunity to use some pretties too!
You have until the end of this month to enter.
Cheers!
