Hi folks!
Have you visited WOW - Words or Whatever Blog this week? If you have, you'll find that there is a RECIPE challenge happening this month.
Here is your recipe:
This is what I came up with - just a really simple one 'cos I was rushing to go away early the next day, and I had to pack first, then I didn't have much time to do this AND get a good night's sleep for the long drive!
So I used:
5 x Flowers - 4 x Prima Flowers and 1 x Handmade Rosette Flower
4 x Words - Title is "His Brand New Bike"
3 x Patterned Papers - 1 as the base, and two others - think they are Echo Park "About a Boy" range.
2 x Photos - Of our lil man riding his brand new bike.
1 x WOW Chipboard. Well, actually it is an MDF piece. The single bicycle on the Rosette is from the WOW - Words or Whatever MDF Mini Bicycle Pack MDF010
Here is a close up, all I did was ink it with a Prima Chalk Ink - in Rust.
Don't forget to pop over to the blog and check out the other DT Member's work - they have done an awesome job! Once you are finished, just add it to the linky below, or on the WOW Blog Website. What are you waiting for - better get cracking!!!
Have a lovely weekend all, I'm on hols at the moment, so I am a bit quiet. I'll be back in a few days with more shares, and some exciting news!!

Fabulous Friday at Frosted Designs
Well it sure doesn't seem like it, but it is Friday again. It has been such a busy week! Camp Week at Whitsunday Anglican School has been, as usual a hectic but very enjoyable time for all the children involved.
If you are looking for a challenge on the weekend to help get the mojo flowing, don't forget it is Fabulous Friday over at the Frosted Designs Challege Blog.
The challenge this week is to use Triangles - yep, it's that easy, they can be any size or dimension, and it doesn't matter how you use them. I was blown away by some of the ideas the Design Team came up with, so make sure you head on over to the blog to check it out.
Here is my sample:

As you can see, I was quite boring and just used some paper with triangles on it, I was lucky to have some of this gorgeous and bright Little Yellow Bicycle range left.
As you can see, I added some WOW in the form of the 12x12 Star Frames C1468 which I inked in an Ingvild Bolme Prima Chalk Ink in yellow, then inked the edges in black to make them pop a bit more. These stars are just so versatile - especially for boy layouts, just love 'em!
I'm off again, I'm hoping to get some more creating done tonight - I am working on a canvas for my little man!
Thanks for popping by!

Sharing the WOW Love
It’s my turn this week to host the WOW – Words or Whatever Blog. I have been having loads of fun playing with new chipboard, and also some Off The Page Creations.
Here are some of the things I’ve been creating:
loved the look of the this WOW – Words or Whatever Rifle Shooting Pack WOW1606. Even though it is an army/cadet/paintball type theme, I knew I could use it on a grungy type layout of my Mr 7.
I simply used some Black Gesso on the Chipboard Rifle to blend it in with my layout. Here is a close-up:
Next, I’ve shared an OTP – A Shadow Box for my Nanna.
Ornate Shadow Box Frame M153.
These Off The Page Pieces are cut in MDF, and they are beautifully done. They fit together so easily, even after the pieces have been cut. so much better than other brands. I was put off making Off the Page pieces due to my difficulty in putting them together, but not anymore! These are awesome!
I decided to create a bit of a tribute to my Great Uncle, who served in the Australian Air Force during World War II. He was actually in Darwin when it was bombed, and was lucky enough to survive. After the war, he returned to Ipswich, but later followed his daughter to Western Australia. Nanna was very sad that she never saw him again after that. I plan on giving this to her for Christmas:
I also used the WOW – Words or Whatever “Lest We Forget” Title C866 which I also painted with a Ranger Dauber – Gold.
Here is a close up:
I have also shared this layout, where I used a WOW- Words Or Whatever Title “I Love You To The Moon and Back” WOW1539, the WOW – Words Or Whatever 12x12 Star Frames C1468, and the stars I cut from the WOW – Words or Whatever Star Border C655.
If you want to find out more about how I created these WOW layouts, visit the WOW blog.

Have you seen the Fabulous Friday Challenge over on Frosted Designs Challenge Blog?
If you do it, you'll get the opportunity to use up all those extra Journaling Cards you've got laying around!
The BEST thing though, is that WOW - Words or Whatever are sponsoring it this week.
The prize is 20 Chipboard Pieces of YOUR choice
- That is AMAZING!! Such a generous prize!
Here is my sample:
I've used a WOW Journal Tag Frame C968. I backed it in paper so I could write about this gorgeous picture of my Mum and her sister. I painted it in some Ranger Dauber in Cool Peri, and then added some Alcohol Ink in silver. I then layered it with a couple of chipboard Journaling Blocks. I also used some WOW Block Alphabet Uppercase Letters C1388, which I painted the same way to blend.
Here are a couple of close-ups:

WOW - Words Or Whatever New Releases For September
Hi Peeps!
Have you been over to the WOW - Words or Whatever Blog this week? The design team are showcasing all the gorgeous new release WOW products.
Sandra, Wendy,Susan, Emma, Kellie, Kerryn and Lisa have all done some A-M-A-Z-I-N-G work.
I too was lucky enough to be sent a fabulous pack of gorgeous new goodies from the lovely Suzanne.
Here is the first layout I came up with:
First of all, I created a background with the 12x12 Spiral Circle Altamatz ALTA050.
I used it to apply some texture paste, and then sprayed some Glimmermist (Arctic Blue and Harvest Orange) into the caps, and randomly brushed the mist on to the background.
When it was all dry, I added chicken wire and some paper from the Prima Craftsman Range. I have also used some WOW Mini Cogs from the Mini Cog Pack WOW1568. I painted them with Perfect Pearls in Copper to blend them in with the colours I used. I just LOVE these cogs. I have managed to create 4 layouts with 1 set - pretty good value if you ask me! I have also added a circle from the 6x6 Circle Frame Pack WOW1613 to frame my photo, which was also painted in Perfect Pearls in Copper.
Here is a close up of on of the cogs:

Love the shimmer Perfect Pearls give the chippy on this layout. If you are wondering why the chicken wire looks rusty, it's because I brushed it with alcohol ink, to blend it better with my layout. (Ummmm, yes, I AM that anal...lol....)
The next layout I did was this one of my niece's gorgeous daughter. I borrowed the photo from her wall, just thought it was an absolutely gorgeous snap!
Just look at the way the photographer has used the light, no way I could do that! It was so nice to do a girly layout for a change. I used some Bo Bunny papers and embellishments.
I have included the WOW Chipboard Monique Flourish WOW1617. Yep, I now have the honour of having a chipboard flourish named after me - how cool is that? Makes me feel almost famous!! LOL!
With the flourish, I first painted it in Ranger Paint Dauber - Citrus, then added some Shimmerz in Lime. Looks really pretty and shimmery close up.
I have also used the WOW 12x12 Random Hexagon Altamatz ALTA036. Once more, I've used some texture paste to add some dimension, then once it was dry I painted over the paist with some more Lime Shimmerz
Well, thanks for having a peek at my blog. Make sure you head over to the WOW - Words or Whatever Blog though and check out all the gorgeous designs by the entire team.
Next week it is my turn to do the blog posts, so keep an eye out for some more of my work featuring the fabulous WOW Words or Whatever Chipboard
Bye for now, I love reading comments, so please leave some!

Stop 1 on My Amazing Race....
Well, the Scrapbooking Top 50's Amazing Race, anyway!
The first stop was Australia - the great continent I call home :)
We had to include the following criteria:
1. An Australian Image or Animal.
2. A punched border or scalloped edge.
3. A bit of Aussie vernacular in our title.
I just loved this challenge - and I knew just the photos I was going to use, these happy snaps from last year's outing on Australia Day to Airlie Beach. How lucky are we to get to do day trips to a place like Airlie?
This is what I came up with:
So, I raided my stash and came up with a mix of Jillibean Soup, Little Yellow Bicycle and Echo Park papers - really wanted to pic up the red and blue of my little man's "Aussie" Shirt.
Of course, a layout couldn't be complete without some WOW - Word's Or Whatever chipboard. I've used the WOW 12 x 12 Star Frames C1468, which I painted red with a Ranger Dauber, and a little arrow from the WOW New Arrow Pack C1299.
Do you like the star mask? I made it myself using WOW Chipboard Stars and Star Frames - just another way you can use your chipboard!
So what do you think? It's not too late to join in the fun of the Scrapbooking Top 50's Amazing Race. If this challenge was anything to go buy, I know I'm going to have loads of fun over the next few weeks! If you want to sign up, just click on the links, or click on the blinkie on the right of my page!

Sharing a "Just For Fun" Layout.
Hi all,
I so rarely do a just for fun layout these days. With working, spending time with the family, and other commitments I am flat out doing the scrapping I need to get done, so last Thursday, I sat down at my scrapdesk and decided I just wanted to create for the heck of it!
This is what I came up with:
Boy did I have fun - used loads of texture in the form of hessian and denim and layered up with some glimmermists (Autumn Harvest and Arctic Blue,) hessian and paper.
I've used the new Bo Bunny Detour range, which is a Travel themed range, but there are enough papers and embellies that can be used simply for boy themed layouts. I created the banner myself using jute twine, paper, hessian, denim and diecuts. I also made the little denim star myself by modge podging some denim on some chipboard, then cutting out with a Sizzix Star Die
Well, that it from me - I'm going to squeeze in some more scrapping before hittin the ironing board for the evening.
Thanks for visiting my blog, hope you all have a fabulous week :)
