What Were You Up To on the Weekend?

Besides desparetely trying to keep cool, that is. Hasn't it been so hot????
Ick Ick Ick!!
Anyways, I can't share all of the next two layouts, but here are some sneaky peaks:

It's using the beautiful Early Bird Range. If you want to know more, keep an eye out at SnB;0)
Besides playing with those beeeeutiful papers, I have also been making this Mini - my entry into the Week 7 challenge at Addicted to Craft's 12 Weeks of Christmas competition.
The challenge was to scrap one of out favourite holidays, using Scrap Within Reach papers. I used the "Cottage" range, and a Maya Road binder album. Don't you love those vintagy beach tags/journalling cards - they are from Tim Holtz. Just gorgeous!!! There are bigger ones too, and I can't wait to have a play with some water colours hehe.

That's it for me, now. I have to get ready for work. Still have a very croaky voice - think I'll have to go back to the doctor's and get it checked out. I have been sick with this virus for 4 weeks now, and have had a croaky voice for 2 weeks :0(

Let's Get Shabby November Challenge

Wouldn't you know it, my dear little boy has been having trouble settling this evening, so in between chasing him to bed, and patting him off etc etc, I finally managed to finish this off.
Here is my entry into this month's challenge at Let's Get Shabby.
The challenge was to create your own embellishment for your layout, which had to be a focus of the layout. I made a little handbag to go with my layout about what is in my handbag:0)

Here is a close up of the little handbag.

Thanks for looking!!!

Off to Work I Go!!

I am actually looking forward to heading back to work tomorrow - I have been so ill, and have had quite a few days off of late, and I have been going stir crazy here at home!
I still have a hacking cough, and my voice is still croaky - but I figure if I take it easy, be a more traditional "chalk with very little talk" type teacher, then I should be OK...

I have been so ill, I have even lost my creative inspiration, and with it my urge to scrap - Eeeeep! I have never been like that before!!!

Anyway, today I managed to do a layout - for the 12 Weeks of Christmas Challenge going on at the moment at Addicted to Craft.

This week, the challenge was to use products by Hambly Screen Prints, use circles/ovals, and 6 photos.

Here is what I came up with:

I used 2 Hambly papers, and some Hambly rubons. The photos are of Connor las Xmas Morning. I am really enjoying this challenge, as it is making me finally scrap my Xmas photos from last year - which is kinda good, considering this year's Christmas is getting far to close for comfort atm.
Which reminds me, better start making a Christmas to-do list, I really don't want to spend the first 2 weeks of my holidays running around getting organised for Christmas, and considering I have report cards, and the usual end of year activities, for Connor and myself!! Hehe!
Cheers Everyone!

Rainy Day + Sickness

Well it is pouring with rain here today - which is good, because we need it :0)
I am still sick - the bronchitis has cleared up a bit, but the good ole asthma is clinging on for dear life, and getting worse, and the puffers don't seem to be doing much, so it is off to the doctors for me again :0(
Connor has a cold too, so with the weather the way it is, I thought it best to keep him home, the last thing I need is a sleepless night because I have a child with and ear/chest infection....
Tonight, I am teaching a class over at ScrapbooknBits. We will be using the gorgeous Bo Bunny Flutter Butter papers.
Here are some sneak peaks:

The kits for the class have been sold out, but if you want to do the class, you can still buy access here:
November's challenge for Scrap The Boys has been posted,
The Inspiration is this Rhyme:
What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails and puppy dogs tails,
That's what little boys are made of.
Here is my interpretation, I used the ultra cut 3 Bugs in a Rug papers.

Well, that's it from me for now - I am feeling like I need another sleep :0(
Hope you all have a lovely day!

Our Little Mad Hatter!!

Happy Melbourne Cup Day!! Hope you were on a winner :0)
I wasn't - crashed and burned dreadfully! LOL!
It was Fancy Hat Day at Connor's Kindergarted. I made him this out of black cupboard, and some older Rouge de Garance paper:

He loved it - he said "I'm SURE I'll have the best hat there, Mummy!!" Now that's appreciation!!
I don't think I've shared this layout yet - I did it a couple of months ago.....

Well, I better go - Connor just came to me and said "Can I go to bed, Mummy - I've run out of boy juice" Awwwwww..... He says the cutest things sometimes!!
